Hospital Radio Burnley

Started in Hospital Radio in 1982 Having worked in some rather strange studios over the years one next to the morgue was my first at the Burnley General.

The current studios at hospital radio is one of the best I have worked...to compare, better than my previous stations Prestons Magic, Skipton's Fresh and Nelson's 2Br.

Its state of the art and a credit to Colin Wakefield and Bryan Sisson who worked tirelessly to build the station.

Having worked on football reporting around the north west...Blackpool, Preston and even Wigan, there's no place like East Lancashire...I am talking Burnley F C
A lIfe long supporter, I have seen the ups and the downs, the Willie Morgans, the Andy Lochheads and Robbie Blakes of the this world. I think you become a realist but an optimist being a true Claret.

I worked at Red Rose Gold for some years presenting overnights (the grave yard shift) also presented rock shows with Terry Butterworth at The Bee in Blackburn, Ribble fm in Preston, 2br in Nelson, Calderdale sound in Todmorden and Abbey fm in Barrow.

Worked for 2br for eight years as a presenter and before that on the Restricted services licence broadcasts from the studios of the hospital radio in 1997/1998 on 107.5fm Two Boroughs Radio serving Burnley & Pendle.
