Hospital Radio Burnley

Hiya folks,

Named Geoffrey by birth meant my stage name had to be Geoffrey bubbles at the radio station. (Do you remember the sitcom?)

Listening to Burnley Hospital Radio whilst receiving treatment during a bout of illness I wondered what it be would like to broadcast over the airwaves.

A few weeks after I had recovered, I saw an advert in the Burnley Express - presenters needed for Hospital Radio Burnley - I applied and started at the Radio Station that was fifteen years ago, which incidentally only seems like yesterday.

Back then I was young, vibrant, handsome, confident and bubbly…I wish! Lets say I looked like a young Tony Curtis… Tony… who? Now looking at my photograph I'm more of a Brian Potter. Well at least I'm still topical.

During my time at the station, I've fulfilled various roles but I mainly tend to keep a low profile if I can. No, I'm not Charlie the Dinosaur. However, I've stood in a couple of times and smelly he was too!

That's about it for now I'll up date my profile again later during this year when I've had my face-lift.
