Hospital Radio Burnley

I joined the station in June 2000, answering an advertisement in the local press. It has proved to be the best thing I have done in years. I walk the wards of Burnley General collecting requests and making sure the patient is comfortable.

The nurses at the Burnley General, as anywhere else, work their socks off and it gives me pleasure in knowing that I have taken a little load off their shoulders.

I enjoy Monday nights at the studios because all the presenters seem to meet then and it's absolute 'bedlam', but, nevertheless good fun. I am pleased to have played a big part in the stations Guinness World Record acheivement.

When I am not doing my ward liaison duties I enjoy the company of my children and grandchildren.
