"The League Of Voluntary Workers and Hospital Radio Burnley work hand in hand for the comfort and well being of the patient. 'LOVW' have raised over £500.000 for the Burnley General Hospital...with everything from 'cake stalls' within the Hospital to 'bucket collections' in Burnley town center. Thanks to Hospital Radio Burnley and their Dinosuar mascot, they have helped to increase donations with the annual bucket collections" said Marina Murray, vice chairman of the league.

The League of Voluntary Workers have paid for a conservatory for the cancer ward at BGH at a cost of over £70.000 in the past two years. When they found out that the Hospitals radio station was being relocated, they again put their hands in their pockets and donated £4000 to help ease with the cost that 'moving' entails.
